Kristina Castellano, Esq.

Ms. Castellano serves as Of Counsel to Grasso PLLC. She concentrates her practice in patent prosecution and opinion matters, as well as trademark prosecution and client counseling.

Ms. Castellano has extensive patent prosecution experience, including managing worldwide patent portfolios; preparing and prosecuting utility, provisional, and design patent applications before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; prosecuting international PCT applications; and procuring foreign patent rights throughout the world.

Ms. Castellano's practice also includes providing freedom-to-operate, invalidity, infringement, validity, and non-infringement opinions. She has prepared numerous non-infringement and invalidity opinions, including those used in preparing Paragraph IV certifications for Abbreviated New Drug Applications submitted to the FDA.

Ms. Castellano has represented clients in pharmaceutical interference and litigation matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Board of Patent Appeals and before the U.S. District Courts for the District of Columbia and the Eastern District of Virginia. Ms. Castellano has also conducted due diligence investigations and licensing and settlement negotiations.

Ms. Castellano works in several technologies, including: pharmaceutical compounds, compositions and methods, drug delivery systems, medical devices, organic light emitting devices, semiconductor processing, metallurgical and polymer materials, photo film, food products, cosmetics, and waste management systems and processes.
